This Is Your Season to Shift

Leslie Blue Dress 1

Are you in a season of “I Don’t Know What’s Going to Happen Next”? I’ve personally been there and done that.   If that’s the season you’re in right now, get ready to SHIFT into something GREAT. As you journey through this season, stay on TRACK and don’t fight the process. God’s aligning you with great PURPOSE; therefore, receive this SHIFT with gratefulness. The process may cause slight discomfort, embarrassment, or guilt- but it has a purpose for the next chapter in your life. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  I can confirm that if you stay focus, stay on course, and listen to God’s voice…you’ll SHIFT into greatness.

Jeremiah 29

God knows the plans that He has for your life. He’s confident in you succeeding, but are you confident in yourself? God’s plan for your life is to prosper you not to bring you harm. When I read Jeremiah 29:11 excitement swells within me because I know that it’s not God’s will for us to wonder aimlessly without purpose. I believe God has purposefully mapped out the direction for your life, but it’s up to you to seek His presence and gain clarity as to what that purpose is in this season.

I’ve always been a little rebel at heart that danced to my own beat. In all honesty, dancing to my own beat landed me in dark places in my life like teen motherhood at age sixteen and married to the wrong person, which caused so much public humiliation. In both instances, I wanted to “ACT” swiftly and not “LISTEN” respectfully to the word “NO” from God. In hindsight, I understand that what I truly wanted was love and attention…but I gained it negatively from the wrong people through instant gratification. Because I failed to seek God’s approval for certain wants in myself, I suffered immensely with public SHAME, financial ruin and starting over constantly. These two examples are negative shifts in my life. As a Transformation Discovery Coach™, you want to avoid negative shifts if at all possible. That’s why it’s important that you learn from past mistakes as you prepare to transition into your next chapter.

As you prepare to SHIFT, it’s vital that you:
1. Pray often.
2. Stay on course.
3. Focus daily.
4. Meditate on God’s word.
5. Change your diet by eating healthy.
6. Read daily for knowledge.
7. Stay calm.
8. Seek God’s approval.
9. Manage your stress level.
10. Get financially healthy.

Each tip can help you transition smoothly into your next chapter. The more you implement and practice good habits, the better you’ll feel as God transition you into your next season. I’m believing God for change and turn around in your life. Therefore, start preparing now for your season of change. Don’t wait until God changes your zip code, job, finances, etc., to address certain habits…start now.
Good Shifts Are Happening Now,

You Are Not Your Past

Leslie's Updated Photo

You are not your past.  This is your season to live and not hide behind your salty tears.  So often in life, you may hide behind hurt words or shameful acts that hinder your growth or spiritual walk.  In this season,  I believe that God’s calling you to operate on a higher level.  He’s calling me and you to live beyond hurt words, empty promises, or illusions that are holding me and you hostage as I’ve spoken about in my YouTube video below.

I vividly remember the first day I found out I was becoming a mom for the first time at sixteen.  My tears consumed me like raging water that broke free from a vulnerable dam.   My heart ached.  My throat became so enlarged as if I had swallowed an entire apple.  I felt numbed.  I couldn’t move.  I was young.  I was ashamed.

For the longest time, people talked about me.  My classmates, community members, and church members spoke negatively about my condition as if I was the first person ever to have a baby out of wedlock. Through all the negative talk, I distinctively recalled wanting to hear positive words of encouragement, but instead, I was left feeling ostracized.

As I continuously grow in my Christian walk today,  I often think of that difficult time in my life.  I think about the power of words…my words…my actions.  I  contemplate how those very words tarnished my heart, broke bonds and stripped me bare without ever touching me.

Daily, I think about the number of people that suffer from SHAME because they secretively live in the past.  Today, I understand the power of setting myself free. It’s refreshing not living the lies of others.  I won’t lie.  Freedom comes at a price, and sometimes that price is walking away from negative people who attempt to hold you “emotionally hostage” concerning your past.

Therefore, as you read these words, understand that God loves you so much because He is not a ‘respector of persons’. He validates His love to you daily.  He wants you to live a liberating life where you are no longer ashamed of who you are.  I did it and so can you.  How did I do it?  I started by implementing the following proactive strategies:

1.) I was honest with myself.

2.) I forgave myself.

3.) I learned how to love myself.

4.) I set healthy boundaries.

5.) I forgave those who hurt me.

6.) I live my truth.

7.) I pray daily.

8.) I laugh a lot.

9.) I meditate.

10.) I befriend positive people.

I hope these words minister to your heart.  Please share and comment. I always look forward to reading your replies. Or, if you like, drop me a personal message at shamenomore001@gmail.com.

Your Miracle Is Right Around the Corner

Around the corner

When I woke up this morning, I started to meditate.  I heard the small voice of God speaking. It’s amazing how God’s presence can change our perspective and change our entire day.  Not to get too personal, but as I was preparing breakfast this morning, I felt the visitation of God.  It was very strong.

First, God wants us to “COMMAND” our mornings. Take time to pray, meditate, exercise, journal, or self-reflect.  These strategies can help “set” the temperament for our entire day.  Daily, it’s imperative that we honor God by carving out time to converse with Him. When we fail to command our mornings by honoring God, distractions from the enemy can seep into our spirit causing physical and spiritual disruptions.  When we pray, we’re equipping ourselves to withstand the blows of the enemy.  Get rooted in the word when driving to work, while drinking coffee, or while sitting in bed aimlessly.  Every moment that we invite God in, we willfully build a spiritual bridge that allows us to tap into God’s purpose for our lives.  His word daily is food to our souls and nourishment for our bodies.

Next, God doesn’t want us to compromise.  We must stand strong, and we cannot compromise our well-being in this season.  Stay focus; stay mentally healthy; stress-free, and guilt-free. I must be honest; I use to compromise myself for the sake of fitting in with others.  But as I continually grow in Christ, God reminds me to stand on His word as a guide for my life as noted in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) where it is written that God has a plan for our lives.  It’s not to harm us, but these plans are to prosper us so that we’ll have hope as He guides and directs us into our future.  Therefore, we must stop compromising our peace.  Remember, God doesn’t function in dysfunction.  He’s a man of order. That’s why it’s important that we build a relationship with God and that we converse with Him daily as we “Command Our Mornings.”

Then, God wants us to trust HIM!!!  I believe that God’s building our FAITH in this season.  He’s building our faith with various test and trials.  Through these various test and trails, God is causing us to exercise our faith and depend totally on him.  For it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV), “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Finally, God’s working a miracle in our lives.  Let’s stay strong and not sway from God when situations start to look weary.  Remember, God is watching during the test; he’s just quiet as He conducts an evaluation of our hearts and reactions to see if we’re walking by “faith” or walking by “sight”.

Sincerely,

~ShameNoMore

Thank You Lord for a Fresh Wind

Fresh Wind

Dear Hurt,

I’ve known you for quite some time.  At one point, I even tried to befriend you.  What’s crazy— is that I’ve felt how you’ve invaded my space.  I’ve seen how you’ve hurt people close to me, and I’ve even inhaled the remnants of your scent that you’ve left lingering behind on numerous occasions.  I’ve tried countless times to evict you, but oddly enough, you’ve crept through the smallest cracks buried deeply within the crevices of my bleeding heart.

I fondly remember the first time you cut me deeply. I was young, barely in my teens when you showed up making promises of befriending me…protecting me…and soothing me as a teen mom.  For years, I’ve tried to escape the poisonous venom that your bite marks left behind, but just like a snake, you slithered your way back into my life with no regard for good will.

But then again, I thank God for a fresh wind, another chance to stand— a renewal of energy to fight and not suffer in silence or shame.  No longer will the numbness, lustful sensation, or the overwhelming fear to doubt God’s purpose for my life abort my will to reposition myself firmly or reap the benefits that He’s spoken over my life.  I know that God  has destined greatness for my life.  And as a worshiper, I must only believe.

I hope you can forgive me, but the time has come where I will no longer live in SHAME because of you.   When I look in the mirror, all I see are the secret lies you’ve told me that you’ve whispered faintly in my ear.   I’ve deleted those files titled “Lies”, and I’ve pressed the button that reads ‘Empty Recycle Bin’ too just in case I have the urge to retrieve you.

Goodbye and Good Riddance,

A Second Wind…ShameNoMore

Words from Tyler Perry

Good Morning Ladies,
I was checking my facebook page this morning, and I ran across this post from Tyler Perry.  I just had to REPOST it here for you guys to read.  In this season of my life, these words are powerful and I truly need to contemplate these words as well.
WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?

I said this in a play once as Madea… LOL. But I thought I’d revisit it as Tyler for those of you who may not have heard it 🙂

I have this tree analogy when I think of people in my life, be it friends, family, acquaintances, employees, co-workers, whomever…They are all placed inside what I call my tree test. It goes like this:

LEAF PEOPLE
Some people come into your life and they are like leaves on a tree. They are only there for a season. You can’t depend on them or count on them because they are weak and only there to give you shade. Like leaves, they are there to take what they need and as soon as it gets cold or a wind blows in your life they are gone. You can’t be angry at them, it’s just who they are.

BRANCH PEOPLE
There are some people who come into your life and they are like branches on a tree. They are stronger than leaves, but you have to be careful with them. They will stick around through most seasons, but if you go through a storm or two in your life it’s possible that you could lose them. Most times they break away when it’s tough. Although they are stronger than leaves, you have to test them out before you run out there and put all your weight on them. In most cases they can’t handle too much weight. But again, you can’t be mad with them, it’s just who they are.

ROOT PEOPLE
If you can find some people in your life who are like the roots of a tree then you have found something special. Like the roots of a tree, they are hard to find because they are not trying to be seen. Their only job is to hold you up and help you live a strong and healthy life. If you thrive, they are happy. They stay low key and don’t let the world know that they are there. And if you go through an awful storm they will hold you up. Their job is to hold you up, come what may, and to nourish you, feed you and water you.

Just as a tree has many limbs and many leaves, there are few roots. Look at your own life. How many leaves, branches and roots do you have? What are you in other people’s lives?

THANK GOD FOR YOUR ROOTS! You may want to call them today or share this message with them and attach your own note saying, “thanks for being my root”.

By the way, don’t waste your time sending this to a leaf, they won’t get it anyway. ~Tyler Perry

Sip, Reflect & Let’s Talk: Today is RESOURCEFUL TUESDAY

Hello Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions (S.H.A.M.E.):

Today is RESOURCEFUL TUESDAY!  I awoke around 6:30am this morning and found myself praying.  Then I heard a still voice say, “It’s RESOURCEFUL TUESDAY!”  Therefore, get up my sisters.  Renew your spirit.  Shake off the ills from your past and get ready for your blessings.  Your miracles are en route.  All you need to do is BELIEVE and TRUST in him.  However, I want to caution you that resources are more than just money.  A resource is an aid; it is any type of supportive tool or skillset that can help replenish you when you’re in need.  Therefore, here are several scriptures and inspirational words that will keep you motivated along the way.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” (Psalm 23: 1 NIV)

(Google Image)

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

(Google Image)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)

(Google Image)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;” (Psalm 34:17-19 NIV)

(Google Image)

“Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him to act. Don’t be envious of evil men who prosper.” (Psalm 37: 7 NIV)

The Crushing of the Blood™: S.H.A.M.E.

(Google Image)

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith. (Hebrews 10:22 NIV)

Dear Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions™ (S.H.A.M.E.):

I hear God say that some of us are being mold for greatness just like a potter working with wet clay.  He is working out a new plan for deliverance in us.  He’s shaping us, reconstructing us, and most of all repositioning us.  However, before we can accept this new anointing in our lives, we must first undergo The Crushing of the Blood™.

The trick of the enemy is to get us off track.  The Devil is working overtime to distract us from doing the will of God.  Many of us are being test on our jobs, illness(es) within our bodies, financial/ martial issues within the walls of our home, lack of patience with our children, and most importantly exhibiting trust issues concerning God.  God is saying that if we stand the test of time and follow His commandments without contest or waver from the mandate in which He has created for  us, we will receive a fresh anointing in due season.  But, before we can receive or understand this fresh anointing, we must first undergo ophthalmology eye care.  Ladies if the truth be told, some of us are suffering from lack of vision and according to Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (KJV)

Therefore my Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions™ (S.H.A.M.E.), God wants us to stop worrying about issues that don’t concern us and place our faith in Him.  He’s working behind the scenes making sure that we’re properly mandated and equipped to war against the issues of life that attempt to depress and stifle our growth.  As we continue to grow as women of God, remember that God hasn’t forgotten us when the heat is on high, it’s just that He’s allowing us to go through the fiery furnace like the three wise men named: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3:23. As we can recall, even though these three wise men were placed in the furnace their faith still remained strong.

In essence, as Christian women, just like the fourth man in the fire that appeared out of nowhere, God will show up just in the nick of time to save us too when the fire is deadly hot. So when we are faced with the Nebuchadnezzars’ of life, remember, God will have our enemies question their attack when He allows us to walk away from the fiery furnace of The Crushing of the Blood™ without a blister, all hairs in tack, and clothes unscorch.  So, we will find comfort today ladies in Psalm 30:5 when it says “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (NIV)

Continue to endure because it’s almost over,

~Shamenomore

The Confession of an Abandoned Woman™: S.H.A.M.E.

(Google Image)

This above all: to thine own self be true-Shakespeare

Dear Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions™:

Abandonment has no SHAME, nor does it care who it hurts.  It is ruthless in its actions, discourses, and mannerisms.  Many women can thankfully say that “Favor Isn’t Fair…” in terms of never having to meet this uncouth “victimizer”.  However, for the women who have experienced this pain at one time or another it is never a good fate or feeling to collide without warning.  At any rate, “abandon” or “abandonment” is a word that many women can associate with be it secretively or openly.  For those of us who have come face-to-face with this victimizer of grief, God wants you to know in Micah 7:8 “Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” (NIV)

If you’re a Sister Healing Against Mental Emotions™ (S.H.A.M.E.) this time fighting the spirit of abandonment, you must declare today that your circumstances should not determine your future.  God says in Isaiah 40:8 “Grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of our God endures forever.” (TEV) Therefore, even though the enemy has stamped one of these spirits on your chest, it doesn’t mean that you must accept the label and birth one of these forms to life:

~Spousal Abandonment

~Relationship Abandonment

~Parental Abandonment

~Child Abandonment

~Job Abandonment

God is saying that many of you are fearful to enter into healthy relationships in this season be it personal or professional because of abandonment issues hailing from your past.  However, you must set this fear of abandonment free, speak life into your current situation, seek professional help, and most of all find comfort in the words of God.  Your past loss can be overwhelming, yes, but it doesn’t have to paralyze you from living a healthy and fulfilling life.

As women of God, it’s hard to believe sometimes that the time invested in a relationship [that was solid in your mind] has ended because you might have been misled by the other party, or you’ve failed to recognize the handwriting on the wall early-on.  In any case, many of you fall prey into loving others more than you love yourself at times, which can lead to depression and even symptoms of anxiety; and because of this loss, you plant future seeds of fear. That is why God clearly says in Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever.” (AMP)

If this is your story this morning The Confession of an Abandoned Woman™, God wants you to  know that you can seek professional help within your  local community and remember that in 2 Timothy 1:7 “God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” (NIV)

Abandon fear today and live joyously,

~Shamenomore

Let Go and Let God

(Google Image)

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10 NASB)

Dear Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions (S.H.A.M.E.):

Oftentimes as women, we participate in messy settings that result in messy situations.  We’ve all been there at one time or another where this very act of messiness turns into feelings of guilt and SHAME.  However, the issue is that holding on to guilt and SHAME can become the root causation of living life unfulfilling, which can lead to us feeling uncomfortable in our own skin.  As women of God, in order to live a healthy life daily, we must learn to Let Go and Let God Have His Way.

Holding on to our past or a messy situation out of guilt or SHAME is never of God because He’s a God of restoration and healing.  As we continue to develop our spiritual journey, we are continuously faced with various life challenges.  These encounters can prove to be detrimental to life or they can prove to be beneficial to life.  At any rate, these hindrances can present it’s foul existence in numerous entities such as: pretending like we’re happy in a failing marriage, enduring unhealthy friendships/relationships, repeating the generational curse of poverty, working continuously in a dysfunctional job environment, allowing alcohol/drug addictions to cause daily stressors [be it directly or indirectly], failing to recognize spiritual bondage, fostering the hidden spirit of envy/jealousy, participating secretly  in adulterous relationships, supporting the spirit of generational backwardness, or tolerating the generational curse of  robbing Peter to pay Paul just to name a few.  At any level, as Sisters Healing Against Mental Emotions ™(S.H.A.M.E.), we must stop these cycles from rearing it’s monstrous heads generations after generations in order to restore a positive level of normalcy within our lives.  According to Psalm 71:20, “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up” (NIV), which means that God can restore any dormant situation no matter how the circumstance(s) may look.

As sisters, we have a tendency to hold on to problems that disturb the very core of our inner peace. But as we continuously strengthen our relationship with God, it’s imperative that we learn the proverbial lesson early-on of Letting Go and Letting God Have His Way!  Remember ladies, God can’t bless messiness because He’s a God of order and restoration.  In other words ladies, living with guilt and allowing SHAMEFUL feelings to take control in our lives daily is toxic to everyone involved.  For example, it’s amazing how we will allow others to make us feel guilty because we no longer want to function in dysfunction causing us to feel a sense of guilt or SHAME like a ton of bricks weighing physically, mentally, or emotionally within our souls.  Therefore, in Psalm 55:22, God says “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken” (NASB). So, what are we waiting for to cast our burdens unto Him?

In short, as we continue to grow in faith by Letting Go and Letting God Have His Way, we must remember that we can choose how we react to various situations in life through evoking prayer and supplication, or we can continuously repeat cycles of generational curses to no avail because we fail to Let Go and Let God Have His Way.
